Circumcision: an Elephant in the Hospital

14 boys a year died in the UK prior to genital cutting being discouraged by the setting up the NHS in the 1940s, the NHS did not see routine circumcision of children  as a valid medical procedure.

“What are the potential complications? How does it affect sexuality? Is it a medical procedure or a social surgery? If it’s unnecessary surgery, what about contemporary bioethics principles?”
